Fourplay Reaches #1 in Just Four Weeks on the SmoothJazzNow Top 50
Oct 13, 2012 - One thing's for sure, there are lots of Fourplay fans listening to SmoothJazzNow! The supergroup is enjoying the success of another great album with 'Esprit De Four' and now the first single 'Sonny Moon' has reached the top of our chart. "The addition of Chuck Loeb in the band was a smart move," says John Beaudin, Program Director, of SmoothJazzNow. "He's always been one of my favorite guitarists and a damn nice man!"
The fastest mover on the chart was Jeanette Harris with 'All I Do' going up 13 slots to #33. Early Thornton with Steve Oliver also got a lot of action moving up 9 spots to #31 with 'Latismo.'
Only two songs entered the chart this week. Julian Vaughn had a big debute with 'On Your Feet' entering at #20. "This is a catchy tune." says Beaudin. "This is the type of tune that makes you stop in your tracks and we've had lots of requests for it." Our old friend Nick Colionne also entered the chart with "There It Is" at #43.
