Calgary:
$210,000 raised at the Children's Cottage Radiothon
on california 103 fm
November
30, 2006 - The
8th annual Children's Cottage Radiothon raised
in excess of $210,000. The event was broadcast
live on local radio station california 103 fm
and took place at The Core (Calgary Eaton Centre/TD
Square).
"This
is our biggest annual fundraiser and it is
thrilling to be able to exceed our goal"
stated Children's Cottage Executive Director
Patty Kilgallon. "This is the fourth
year we have worked with california 103 fm
and it just keeps getting better each year"
continued Kilgallon. The charity had set a
goal of $200,000 for this year's event.

event featured on-air appearances from Ken

Member of the Children's Cottage, Chris Gerritsen
from the Calgary Sun, who has attended each
of the 8 Radiothons, Dave Jones CEO of Wealthstreet
& Concrete Equities, members of the Calgary
Stampeders and Calgary Hitmen, Jim Peplinksi,
Jim Dinning, Aldermen Joe Ceci and Madeline
King.
