Avril Lavigne Picks Up Four Junos
April 6, 2003 - Avril Lavigne picked up four awards tonight at the Juno's in Ottawa. The native of Napanee, Ontario won the following : Single of the year for Complicated, album of the year for Let Go, best new artist and best pop album. Host Shania Twain also had a great night winning three times -- artist of the year, fan choice and best country recording. Smooth Jazz Favorite
Robert Michaels won a Juno for Best Instrumental Album for 'Allegro' and Diana Krall's 'Live in Paris' got the nod for Vocal Jazz Album. Other winners in Jazz included Richard Underhill for Contemporary Jazz Album for 'Tales from the Blue Lounge', and Renee Rosnes - Life on Earth in the Traditional Category.
