He first started singing for the White Rock Baptist
Church and soon after joined the band LJE along with
singer ,songwriter and producer Paul Laurence. In 1985
Jackson signed a solo contract with Capital Records
and came out with "Rock Me Tonight" (For Old
Times Sake) which made it to the US Top 20. |

Producer and session player began arranging music soundtrack
for the movie "Midnight Express." He played
Synthesizer on Donna Summer's 1979 hit "Bad Girls"
and also did the Instrumental hit "Axel F"

He started playing Trumpet at age 10 and soon began
playing professionally. He studied Jazz at Indiana University
.He has played with Woody Shaw, Aretha Franklin, Bob
Dylan and Paul Simon to name a few. His 2001 debut "Night
Sessions" continues to be one of the top selling
albums on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts. |

He began playing the trumpet at the age of six. He has
studied at both Berkshire Music Center and Juilliard
School of Music in New York. He has received 8 Grammy
awards for both Classical and Jazz albums. He is also
the first jazz artist to receive a Pulitzer Prize in
