Carlton was born on March 2nd 1948 in Torrance, California. Carlton picked
up his first guitar at age six and later in Jr. High was introduced to Jazz. In
1968 he recorded his first album "With A Little Help From My Friends".
In 1971 he had a feature performance in "Crusader One" with the legendary
Jazz band The Crusaders and performed on thirteen of their albums. Carlton also
co-wrote the theme song for the hit sitcom "Who's The Boss" and co-wrote
and arranged the soundtrack "Against All Odds". He won a Grammy in 1981
for his collaboration with Mike Post for "Hill Street Blues". He is
also a founding member of the Jazz super group Fourplay. Carlton has worked on
film soundtracks, television themes and over 100 gold albums. |

Jarreau was born on March 12th 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Singing since
the age of four, he also excelled in sports and was an above average student with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Vocational
Rehabilitation. In 1975 Jarreau signed with Warner Brothers and released "We
Got By". That same year he received a German Grammy for "Best New International
Soloist". His second German Grammy came with his follow up album "Glow".
In 1977 he won his first American Grammy for "Best Jazz Vocal Performance",
A Grammy for "Best Jazz Vocalist" in 1978 and 1980. |

Benson was born on March 22nd 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He started
singing at the age of 8 in a local nightclub. In 1962, a 19 year old Benson was
hired by organist Jack McDuff as his sideman. He released his first album as a
leader in 1964 "The New Boss Guitar". In 1976 he released "Breezin"
which soared to #1 and won a Grammy for the Leon Russell hit "The Masquerade"
and received Platinum sales. He has won 8 Grammy Awards that stretch from 1976
to 1983. |

Norah Jones was born on March 30th 1979 in
New York City, New York. While attending Dallas Booker T Washington High in 1996,
Jones won the Down Beat Music Awards for Best Jazz Vocalist and Best Original
Composition. She was a regular with the band "Wax Poetic" and started
her own group with Jessie Harris, Lee Alexander and Dan Riesner. Her debut album
"Come Away With Me" was released in early 2002 and sold more than 18
million copies in which she received 8 Grammy Awards. | |

Albert was born on March 31st 1935 in Los Angeles, California. A trumpet player
by the age of eight, he soon became a great arranger and songwriter.He collaborated
with Lou Adler to write Sam Cooke's hit "Wonderful World". In 1962 Albert
teamed up with Jerry Moss and together they formed A&M Records and released
his first album "The Lonely Bull". Together with the Tijuana Brass he
recorded many hits including "Taste of Honey", "Spanish Flea"
and "Casino Royale." In 1989 he sold A&M for $500 million and continues
