He started playing the piano at age five. Sample was a
founding member of the band "The Crusaders."
In 1978 he released his first solo album entitled "Rainbow
Seeker." He has been a touring sideman to many musical
greats such as Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, BB

Cole was born on February 6, 1950 in Los Angeles, California.
She is the daughter of music great Nat King Cole. Her
1975 debut album "Inseparable" won her two Grammy
Awards. In 1976 Natalie won a Grammy for Best New Artist.
Cole has racked up 30 charted singles in 15 years and
numerous gold and platinum albums. Her "Unforgettable"
sold 14 million copies. In 1996 she won another Grammy
for "When I fall in love" a duet with her father. |

McDonald was born on February 12, 1952 in St Louis,
Missouri. In 1972 he started playing with Steely
Dan. In 1976 he joined The Doobie Brothers. The album
"Minute by Minute "sold more than three million
copies and won four Grammys including Best Song and Record
of the Year. His first solo album "If That's What
It Takes" was released in 1982. In 1984 Michael won
a Grammy with James Ingram for Best Pop Vocal by a Duo.
In 2003 "Motown" was released and nominated
for two Grammys. |

| Alex
de Grassi was born on February 13, 1952 in Yokosuka,
Japan. He learned to play trumpet at age thirteen but
switched to guitar and never turned back. Alex taught
himself how to play guitar but later studied under noted
teacher Bill Thrasher. In 1978 he released his debut album
"Turning, Turning Back" followed by thirteen
more recordings. He was a Grammy and an Indie nominee
for "The Water Garden." He also has an Economic
Geography degree from the University of California. |

Schon was born on February 27, 1954 in San Mateo, California.
After playing with Carlos
Santana Schon and Greg Rolie left to form Journey
in 1973. They hit US popularity when Steve Perry joined
the band resulting in many hit records. In 1981 he teamed
up with Jan Hammer to record the fusion inspired "Untold
Passion." In1987 Journey split and Schon joined with
Bad English and Hardline. He returned to make a second
collaboration with Hammer called "Here to Stay".
In 1996 Journey reformed but without Perry. Schon also
recorded Smooth Jazz albums for Higher Octave records. |
