For this great anniversary, the festival has announced a lineup of stars for the June 14-15 event at the Hollywood Bowl: Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, R n R featuring Rick Braun and Richard Elliot, Tower of Powe and James Moody are a few of the many artists to look forward to as well as legendary Jazz Festival host, Bill Cosby. Since its beginning, the Playboy Jazz Festival has received a lot of great contemporary jazz performers such as Ray Charles, George Benson, Chris Botti, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald and singer Etta James.
The festival will also offer a free community concert series throughout greater Los Angeles and will feature various musicians.

of Smooth Jazz is very evident in the line-up of the 25th Annual
Playboy Jazz Festival . The
opening day line-up includes Boz Scaggs, Boney James, Hiroshima,
Lizz Wright, and L.A. Home Grown Big Band which features Tom Scott,
Patrice Rushen and Paul Jackson Jr. On day two the line up features
Richard Elliot, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Peter White, Al Jarreau,
Jeff Golub and Steve Cole. Bill Cosby who's a huge Jazz fan will
be master of ceremonies. The 25th Annual Playboy Jazz Festival will

vBoz Scaggs and king of juju music King Sunny Ade & His African
Beats, the 25th anniversary Playboy Jazz Festival maintains its
grand tradition of diversity, mixing tremendously talented name
acts and hot new artists. With an emphasis on Latin rhythms, this
year's spicy, two-day lineup includes the "Sambareggae"
of Brazil's Daniela Mercury, Cuba's Salsa singer Issac Delgado and
the Afro-Cuban jazz of conga master Poncho Sanchez. Also on the
eclectic bill you'll hear the smooth jazz of Boney James and Guitars
& Saxes, the Gospel styling of the Blind Boys of Alabama, the
Grammy-nominated Dave Holland Quintet, the folk sounds of Lizz Wright
and Romania's Gypsy brass band Fanfare Ciocarlia. For the first
time ever, see the action close-up on big-screen monitors, day and
night. The two-day event is once again hosted by perennial Master
of Ceremonies, comedian and jazz aficionado Bill Cosby.
