Gabriel Wins Music Industry Trust Award November
3, 2004 - The British music industry has paid tribute to Peter
Gabriel. The singer was presented with the Music Industry Trusts Award on
Monday, the award given for outstanding contribution to the British music industry.
Bono of U2 told the press that Gabriel was "the spark to U2's career,"
and Michael Stipe of R-E-M says he's proud to be on earth at the same time as
Gabriel. Previous winners include Sir Elton John
and Sir George Martin.
