Peter
Cincotti's Next CD Due Sept. 14 June
30, 2004 - The twenty something Jazz invasion will
continue in September with Peter
Cincotti's second album finally making it to stores.
Like Norah Jones,
Michael Buble,'
Jane Monheit and Matt
Dusk, Cincotti is part of a new breed of singers
bringing a younger audience to Jazz while satisfying
the older traditionalists. The new album 'On The Moon'
will again be on Concord records and features Grammy
winning producer, Phil Ramone. Cincotti's self titled
début album released on March 11, 2003 was
a big hit. The sophomore album will be out September
14, 2004. The singer will also get exposure on the
big screen in the next few months including a cameo
in Spiderman 2 which opens today and he'll join Kevin
Spacey in the Bobby Darin Biopic 'Beyond the Sea.' Big
Name Fans For Peter Cincotti April 8,
2003 - We are starting to hear from more of Peter
Cincotti's (pronounced "Sin-kottee") fans
here at Smooth Jazz Now. Still not a household name
Cincotti has been compared to Harry Connick
Jr., Michael Feinstein and Sinatra among others. The
19 year old Manhattan-born singer/pianist also has
some big name fans. Chevy Chase recently showed up
at Cincotti's album launch party and the newcomer
has been seen partying with Joe Pesci. Though some
Jazzer's may think Cincotti may bring younger record
buyers into Jazz he recently told CNN "I don't
feel like I have a mission" to promote jazz to
his own generation, he says. "I don't want to
shove anything down people's throats. Peter will be
on NBC's Extra on April 12th. by Shannon
