7, 2005 - The Juno nominations were released today with Avril Lavigne leading
the pack with five nominations. Artists from Smooth Jazz radio were also recognized
including Diana Krall who picked up four nominations including Fan Choice, Album,
Vocal Jazz Album and Artist of the Year. Marc Jordan was recognized in the Songwriting

3, 2004 - Talking to Oscar Lopez
felt like a sacred event. There is something very pure and honoring about the
man. He is as polite as he is honest and interestingly, I couldn't help but remember
my chat with Ravi
Shankar two years before while talking with Lopez. There is something very
similar about both musicians, maybe it's their humility and connection to their
spirituality but honestly, I don't know what it is. Ok, Oscar is not Ravi in spite
of the fact both have probably never been seen in the same room but I'm convinced
both men are connected to something pretty good upstairs. Lopez has been out of
the music scene for a few years dealing with personal issues including depression
that had him almost give up his trade. He spoke candidly about his important watershed.
