Natalie Cole In Hospital, Puts Tour On Hold September 20, 2008 – Natalie Cole is in hospital again. The Smooth Jazz singer who is battling Hepatitis C has been sidelined from complications from the disease, “The combination of the treatment she’s been undergoing and the heavy promotional schedule for her new album took its toll,” says Maureen O’Connor, Cole's publicist. “Her doctors decided they needed to put her in the hospital. They expect her to be there for a few days, then she’ll be on a month of bed rest.” O’Connor did make it clear that the treatment is not life-threatening.Cole who was admitted to hospital in New York on Sept. 12 had to postpone her tour that was to start Oct. 3 and cancel several public appearances for TV, Radio and several in-store promos. Her new album ‘Still Unforgettable’ was released last week. Cole, the daughter of famous crooner Nat King Cole was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in July.Everyone at Smooth Jazz Now wishes her a speedy recovery. – By John Beaudin – Smooth Jazz Now.
Natalie Cole has Hepatitis C July 23, 2008 – Our thoughts go out to Natalie Cole today. The singer has just been diagnosed with Hepatitis C. In a statement from her publicist the singer said, “I’ve been so fortunate to have learned so much from my past experiences,” said Cole. “I am embraced by the love and support of my family and friends; I am committed to my belief in myself and in my abiding faith to meet this challenge with a heartfelt optimism and determination. This is how I intend to deal with this current challenge in my life.”
Cole, 58, is set to record a follow up to 1991’s ‘Unforgettable’ called ‘Still Unforgettable’ in September.
Her doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles say Cole is responding well to treatment and she is recovering from the side effects from her medicine. Hepatitis C is a blood-borne infectious disease that is caused by the Hepatitis C virus (HCV), affecting the liver. – By John Beaudin

Houston and Warwick Set To Tour Together May
21, 2004 - Get ready for a 1-2-3 Diva punch this summer. Natalie
Cole has told Access Hollywood that she'll share the stage with Whitney
Houston and Dionne Warwick for a summer
tour. Cole and Houston are good friends and both have had substance abuse problems,
Cole has been clean for years. As for Houston, Cole says she's "doing really
great,'' and has a "great desire to really get healthy and get well."
Houston recently checked herself into a drug rehabilitation centre and is reportedly
clean and sober. The tour will start in Germany in July.

Cole's third marriage is on the rocks. The singer who just celebrated her
second anniversary to husband Kenneth Dupree in October, citing irreconcilable
differences. The papers were filed on January 30 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Cole's publicist Jennifer Allen said the singer would not be answering any questions
about the split. Cole last charted on Smooth Jazz radio with the Michael Franks
song "Tell Me All About It." Her biggest success so far has been album
"Unforgettable With Love" where she digitally combined her voice with
her late father. It sold 14 million copies.
