New Jazz CD to Support Breast Cancer Research  September
22, 2003 - The album is a mixed bag of renowned, vintage and independent
jazz artists and the proceeds are going to some great causes. "In
Celebration of Life" a double CD featuring Miles Davis, Charlie
Parker, Billie Holiday, Mel Tormé and Tony Bennett will benefit
the American-Italian Cancer Foundation. The Double CD set will also
feature new up and coming acts like N' Touch, Saxophonist Jason Weber
and the Love Gypsies. 41% of the retail price is being donated to
provide free mammograms to women in need in the NYC area and to continue
research into combating breast cancer worldwide. $0.30 per 2 CD box
set sold will be used to create a trust fund for artists whereby jazz
artists will receive support in the development of their careers.
