Talented Artists Garner More Musical Nominations
May 11, 2005 - Smooth Jazz Now would like to congratulate some terrific and versatile Canadian musicians who were nominated for the first ever Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards and are now in line for a National Jazz Award. In the Electric Group of the Year The Eddie Bullen Band and the Clayton/Scott Group, who won the Group/Duo category at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards are nominees.

Smooth Jazz Nominations at the Juno Awards
February 7, 2005 - The Juno nominations were released today with Avril Lavigne leading the pack with five nominations. Artists from Smooth Jazz radio were also recognized including Diana Krall who picked up four nominations including Fan Choice, Album, Vocal Jazz Album and Artist of the Year. Marc Jordan was recognized in the Songwriting and Vocal Jazz categories. More

Nominations for the 1st Annual Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards
January 3, 2005 - Canadian Smooth Jazz musicians finally have an awards body to recognize their work - The Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. The event was created by Doug and Mary Kirk, owners of The Wave in Hamilton and Smooth Jazz Now creator John Beaudin. The awards will be voted on by the fans via www.canadiansmoothjazzawards.com . Voting will begin shortly. Top nominees for the inaugural ceremony include Diana Krall, Eddie Bullen, Brian Hughes, Marc Jordan, Clayton / Scott Group and Alexander Zonjic all with three. Read more.
