Lionel Richie Headed For Second Divorce
October 31, 2003 - The woman for whom Lionel Richie risked his last marriage is now leaving him. Richie's wife, Diane Alexander has filed for separation after nearly seven years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences. They have a nine year old son and a five year old daughter. Richie's relationship with Alexander began while he was still married to his first wife, Brenda. In 1988, Brenda Richie was arrested for spousal abuse, trespassing and vandalism after she allegedly discovered them together in a Beverly Hills apartment. She wasn't prosecuted but she and Richie divorced in 1991. No comment from Richie's representatives on the separation from Alexander. - BN

July 4, 2003 - We wonder what his house looks like with all those trophies. Lionel Richie is being honored again this time with a well deserved Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Richie already has an Oscar, five Grammy's and 18 American Music Awards and many other honors. Richie's star was number 229 on the famous stretch that the singer says he used to walk down as a kid putting his feet on different stars and daydreaming of one of his own. Lionel Richie received his star on his 54th birthday on Friday June 20th.
