Kim
Waters' Keeping Busy October
14, 2003 - Smooth Jazz Now's "Artist of the Month" Kim Waters has a
busy future. The saxophonist says, "I'm really extending myself as a Producer."
Waters has just finished working with saxophonist Pamela Williams and has plans
to work with vocalist Maysa Leak. Waters says he's always had a long term goal
for his career that would come after he's tired of being an artist and Producer,
"When I get tired of doing that I'll probably be one of those A&R guys
at one of those big labels. "The sax man says, "I've been offered several
positions but I'm not ready to stop playing yet and I'm working on a new album
right now." The new disc will be out in 2004. Read our interview with Kim

Waters Artist of the Month For October October
2, 2003 - If you like Smooth Jazz you've probably tapped your toes to any number
of Kim Waters' classic tunes like "In the Groove," "Secrets Told"
and his current "Waterfall." The saxophonist told Smooth Jazz Now the
latter hit just happened, "I did that song in New York when I was there to
do a remix for the song "In the House" with Davy D and we put "Waterfall"
together in about half an hour." Waters says sometimes the best songs "just
create themselves very fast." Kim Waters is our Artist of the month for October.
