K-os Leads the Pack at the Junos
April 4, 2005 - It was a big night for K-os at the Junos last night. The Urban Rap act won a leading three trophies at the 34th Annual Canadian Music Awards including Single, Rap Recording and Video of the Year. Winners played on Smooth Jazz radio included Diana Krall who picked up the Vocal Jazz Album prize for "The Girl In the Other Room" and Oscar Lopez who's "My Destiny" CD won Instrumental Album of the Year. Feist picked up two awards New Artist of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year. Avril Lavigne was voted JUNO Fan Choice winner. The awards show broadcast from Winnipeg this year featured performances by Randy Bachman, Billy Talent, Burton Cummings, Feist, Fresh I.E., k-os, k.d lang, Nathan, Kalan Porter, Simple Plan, Sum 41, The Tragically Hip, The Wailin' Jennys, and The Waking Eyes.
