Smooth Jazz Nominations at the Juno Awards
February 7, 2005 - The Juno nominations were released today with Avril Lavigne leading the pack with five nominations. Artists from Smooth Jazz radio were also recognized including Diana Krall who picked up four nominations including Fan Choice, Album, Vocal Jazz Album and Artist of the Year. Marc Jordan was recognized in the Songwriting and Vocal Jazz categories. Norah Jones was nominated for International Album and newcomers Matt Dusk and Feist will compete as New Artist of the Year. Hosted by comedian Brent Butt, the Junos will be awarded on April 3rd at a ceremony and concert in Winnipeg.
