McLachlan, Nelly Furtado Top Juno Nominations
February
11, 2004 - Two of Canada's top female vocalists lead the pack as the Juno Nominations
were released today. Both Sarah McLachlan
(left) and Nelly Furtado were mentioned in five categories each. McLachlan who's
recent hit single "Fallen" has charted on both Pop and Smooth Jazz charts
was nominated for the Juno Fan choice, Album, Artist, songwriter and Pop artist
of the year. Celine Dion had four nods and
Vancouver newcomer Michael Buble' got nominations
for both Album and New Artist of the year. The Junos will be held April 4 at Rexall
Place in Edmonton, Alberta, and will be broadcast nationally in Canada on CTV.
