Joe Jackson Has
a Laugh
June
1, 2003 - I guess a lot of us just didn't get the joke according
to Joe Jackson. The singer who's best known for hits like "Is
She Really Going out with Him" and "Breaking Us in Two"
says he got the angry young man tag early on his career when he
really wasn't angry at all. In fact he says a lot of his hits were
intended to be humorous. He says, "Is She Really Going Out
With Him," labeled him angry and bitter but it's actually a
joke song. The tune was recently remade by Sugar Ray and who knows
maybe they'll have more luck with the punch line! Jackson has a
new album of his own called "Volume Four." His "Night
and Day" album is still a mainstay on Smooth Jazz radio with
the two hits "Breaking Us In Two" and "Speppin' Out."
