Euge Groove Finds his Religion

May 7, 2007 - Get ready for a different Euge Groove in June. The saxophonist has gone to church with his sound on his forthcoming fifth album, "Born 2 Groove." The new set co-produced by Paul Brown in High Definition Audio will feature Former Temptations vocalist Ollie Woodson as well as Jeffrey Osborne. Groove says, "I wanted to bring the music to church and hear what my songs would sound like if they had the soul of church musicians. Artist lineup for South Bay Jazz Festival
May 30, 2005 - The 3rd Annual South Bay Jazz Festival has announced it's headliners for this year's concert which will take place on September 3rd, 2005 at Edward Vincent Park in Inglewood, California. This years line up will include Spyro Gyra, Euge Groove, Bob Baldwin, The Braxton Brothers and Jeffrey Osborne. Never short on talent, the festival's inaugural year boasted the Jazz stylings of Norman Brown, Wayman Tisdale, and Everette Harp, and was attended by over 2000 Jazz fans. Last years festival saw Marion Meadows, Joyce Cooling, Bobby Lyles, and Freddie Ravel performing to an ever growing and enthusiastic crowd. Euge Groove Set To Release "Livin' Large In March
February 17, 2004 - The title song is already being played on Smooth Jazz radio but fans
will have to wait until March 9th for a whole new album from Euge Groove. The saxophonist's follow up to the successful "Play Date" will be released on Narada Jazz. Released in July 2002 "Play Date" charted two hits in Canada, "Rewind" and "Slam Dunk" and was the # 39 album of 2003. His self titled debut from May of 2000 featured the hit "Vinyl" which charted 27 weeks on the R&R NAC/Smooth Jazz countdown. Even with all the success Euge Groove says he considers himself a new Smooth Jazz artist adding it could take another 3-4 albums to reach the "A" list. Groove, whose real name is Steven Eugene Grove has played with the legendary Tower Of Power, Richard Marx, Joe Cocker, the Eurythmics and on Tina Turner's final tour.

Mary Kirk's Smooth Jazz Cruise Journal
February 10, 2004 - Mary Kirk co-owner of the Wave 94.7 in Hamilton was not only taking in all the great music at Warren Hill's recent Smooth Jazz cruise - she was taking notes. Kirk along with Wave contest winners experienced a smorgasbord of "A" list Smooth Jazzer's including Hill, Jeff Golub, Chieli Minucci,  Peter White, Marion Meadows, Euge Groove and Alexander Zonjic.
