Brian
Bromberg On Top His Game-
Review July
23, 2007 - In today's ipod society where the majority
of consumers put only their favorite songs on
their mobile players and rush off to life's fast
pace, projects such as this can get lost. What
a shame and what a loss for the Smooth Jazz fan.
Looking at the complete disc, how can you not
want to listen to a project with world class musicians
such as Rick Braun, Boney James, Gary Meek, Jeff
Lorber, lee Ritenour, Kirk Whalum and Vinnie Coliauta
all on it?More
It's
a Brian Bromberg Smorgasbord March
30, 2005 - It's like Christmas for Brian
Bromberg fans. The bassist has four albums
set for release this year. The first "Metal,"
his thirteenth solo album was just released
on Artistry Music record label. The others
"Choices," "It's About Time,"
and "Brian Bromberg" are scheduled
for re-release over the next few months. Bromberg
has a reputation at being well versed in many
different genre's of Jazz including Smooth
Jazz in fact he calls his "Choices"
album the best Smooth Jazz album he's ever
recorded. His partnership in the new Artistry
Music label has provided him the rare opportunity
to explore his creative muse in new musical
directions as well as give a second chance
to some of his previous releases, which warrant
another listen. "Choices," set for
release May 24 was entirely re-mastered and
half of the song remixed. The title track,
featuring Bromberg on his guitar-sounding
piccolo bass accompanied by keyboardist Jeff
Lorber, will be serviced to smooth jazz
radio. One song on the original album was
replaced with "Relentless," a Smooth
Jazz radio hit featuring sax star Richard
Elliot. The track originally appeared
on the Oasis Smooth Jazz Awards CD and was
never before released on a Bromberg album.
Earlier this year, Bromberg earned his first
gold record for the production work he did
on Chris
Botti's "When I Fall in Love"
album. Bromberg is a much in demand producer
after the success he's had producing Jeff
Kashiwa, Richard Smith, Kim
Waters , Alan Broadbent, and Jeff Berlin,
amongst others. Bromberg, along with soul
singer-songwriter Rahsaan Patterson, their
long-time manager Lucille Hunt and veteran
marketing executive Denny Stilwell launched
Artistry Music earlier this year with the
release of Patterson's third album, After
Hours. Based in Los Angeles, the label is
distributed in the United States by Ryko Distribution.

Bromberg Returns To Smooth Jazz April
15, 2004 - Brian
Bromberg has returned to the world of
Smooth Jazz for the first time since his 1998
album "You Know That Feeling." The
new CD "Choices" on the A440 label
is themed on the hills and valleys of life.
Bromberg says, "Most of the songs are
brand new and in some way reflect issues and
hurdles in life that we all go through. The
music that ended up on "Choices"
is all very special to me and I think that
if you listen to the CD with open ears and
an open heart, you can truly feel some of
the tough "Choices" we all have
to make in life." The bassist re-recorded
a few older tunes like the funky "Bass
Face" and "Hear Our Cry." The
latter first appeared on "Basses Loaded"
from 1988 but Bromberg says back then "I
didn't have much experience in making records
so for the last several years I've wanted
to re-record this track." His single
"Bobblehead" is currently #27 on
the Canadian
Smooth Jazz chart.
