Schuyler who was born in 1939 played around the world
but ran into quite a bit of racism and had problems fitting
into the music culture at the time. She was the daughter
of African American author and journalist George Schuyler
and white Texan artist and journalist Josephine Cogdell.
She died at the age of 35 in a helicopter crash during

Alicia
Keys -"I'm Not Gay"
December
4, 2003 - In case you were wondering, Alicia Keys denies
she's gay. She tells ``Access Hollywood'' she absolutely
is not gay and she believes her strong-mindedness might
make people think that. She says T-V may be a factor in
the rumours she's hearing to that nature. Keys says, ``I
think what happens is any person that graces any T-V set
is 'gay.' I don't know what it is.''
