Aaron Neville Offers
"Nature Boy" August 26th

9, 2003 - One of New Orleans most versatile vocalists Aaron
Neville(left with Norah
Jones)
is set to release an album of American standards as his first Verve
release. "Nature Boy" due out August 26th will feature works
by Nat "King" Cole, Cole Porter and George Gershwin among
others. The album will also feature some of his old friends including
past partner Linda
Ronstadt as well
as Roy Hargrove, Ry Cooder, Michael Brecker, Ron Carter, Grady Tate
and Anthony Wilson. Neville says he's excited about his friends helping
out, "These are some bad cats," Neville said in a statement,
"They got the mood just right. For me, jazz is all about mood.
Jazz is all about standards that are connected to your soul, connected
to your life." The album produced by Rob Mounsey will feature
classics like, "The Very Thought of You" with Ronstadt,
"Cry Me a River," "The Shadow of Your Smile,"
"Summertime," "In the Still of the Night," "Blame
It on My Youth," "Our Love Is Here To Stay and the title
song. Neville's last album was the gospel flavored "Believe"
released in February.
