Stevie Wonder Supporting Barack Obama June 27, 2008 - In a recent concert in New York Stevie Wonder confirmed his support to the Democrats' Presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama. It is no secret that both men admire each other. Obama has often claimed that the 26 Grammy Award winner was one of his favourite artists. He declared recently to the magazine Rolling Stone, “If I had one musical hero, it would have to be Stevie Wonder. When I was at that point where you start getting involved in music, Stevie had that run with Music of My Mind, Talking Book, Fulfillingness' First Finale and Innervisions, and then Songs In The Key Of Life. Those are as brilliant a set of five albums as we've ever seen." Obama has even adopted Stevie Wonder's 1970 hit "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" as his leading campaign song.

sixties, ten albums in the seventies, only

Mercer Award by the National Academy of
Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame,

Wonder Helps Convicted Drug Dealer
September
24, 2003 - Motown music legend Stevie Wonder
is trying to help out a friend who also
happens to be convicted of running a major

to 20 years in prison and claims he was
denied a fair trial because of a race bias.
Wonder and Ameen became friends after Ameen
became a musician and producer in Los Angeles.
Wonder has not released an album of new
material since 1995's "Conversation
Peace." In May of this year Wonder
joined the VH1 Divas on stage. Joining Wonder
were Whitney Houston, Celine
Dion, Beyonce, Lisa Marie Presley, Mary
J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Ashanti and Jewel
as they celebrate his musical legacy in
the finale of VH1 Divas Duets.
