Seal Remembers Stage Fright, But Not the Michael Jackson Kind
Nov. 3, 2008 – It’s interesting how some musicians are socially inept. The can own the emotions of 30 thousand fans while stumbling awkwardly in one on one conversation. Some people call it the “Michael Jackson Theory.” Though fans crave to spend time with him, the famous Jackson would be hard pressed to say anything more than “My monkey made soup with the elephant man’s bones, want some?” Though Jackson has said he’s scared on stage, he’s more terrified of close connections.

Seal says he knows that kind of fear but it has passed. The singer was ‘petrified’ the first time he sang in public. He simply didn’t want to embarrass himself and to top it off he thought the crowd would hate his voice. “Music was my escape. I remember being petrified the first time I sang. I closed my eyes, sang, and everyone clapped afterwards. That gave me such a buzz that my fears melted away. From then on, I kept coming back."

Seal truly sees the importance of trust in his family, something that Jackson doesn’t seem to have. The 45 year old singer says he got that foundation when he met wife, Heidi Klum. The bond was solid quick for these two. Seal found out after one month of dating Klum that she was pregnant by her ex-boyfriend and he didn’t care.” "I was taken aback when I met her. I thought she was one of the most beautiful women I'd seen. I thought, 'Wow! Whoever goes out with that girl is one lucky guy!” He told Britain's Daily Mail.

Seals new album “Soul” will be released on Nov. 11th. It features 11 covers of vintage soul tunes. "Someone once said, 'the album will sound like the time you had making it.' Never before has it been as true as in the process of recording this record," says Seal.” The project is produced by David Foster. - By Kari Graham

David Foster produced the set which includes interpretations of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes' "If You Don't Know Me by Now,” Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come," and Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long.”

They also have four year old Leni who Klum had with Formula One boss Flavio Briatore though she says, “Seal is Leni's father. Seal and I feel very lucky that we found each other. He's my best friend. He would never go in through a door first. He always opens the door for me and steps back so I walk through.” Klum says that pregnant feeling is a keeper, “I do miss being pregnant. Children are very addictive. Once they start growing up, you miss when they were little." Word of advice Heidi before you have any more kids with Seal maybe you might want to tell him to stop trying to kill them. Yesterday TMZ.com reported that the singer drove very fast backwards down a busy residential street to hide from paparazzi. One reporter from the show said that he lived near the street in L.A. and mentioned that he kids hang out there all the time.
