Dec. 21, 2008 – Billboard magazine has officially honoured Paul Hardcastle as "Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year." Take Another Five from Hardcastle!
October 24, 2007 - Famous British keyboard player and producer Paul Hardcastle will release his next album "Paul Hardcastle 5" on February 5, 2008 (on the Trippin N Rhytm label). The author of the smash electro hit "19" (a 1985 chart success on the average age of soldiers sent to Vietnam) seems to appreciate the magic of number five. Still surfing on the waves of his successful "V" project from the Jazzmasters series (released in 2006), the synth-jazz wizard will be soon back with another big "V" this time drawn from his "Paul Hardcastle" project. The British artist, who has regularly topped the smooth jazz charts with his various albums, will probably follow again the same path. "Paul Hardcastle 5" uses a successful recipe, that has become his trademark: strong hooks and catchy melodies such as "Lucky Star", "Marimba" and Don't you know".The album will introduce vocalist and newcomer Beki Biggins. So if you like this multi-faceted artist, you will only have to wait till February 2008 to purchase the new synth-jazz master's CD. For more information: www.trippinrecords.com

Hardcastle Joins BA's Smooth Jazz Network
November 21, 2006 - Paul Hardcastle has enjoyed a great career while keeping his personal profile in the background but that may change with news the instrumentalist is about to launch a new radio show. The yet untitled project will kick off in January 2007 on Broadcast Architecture's Smooth Jazz Network. B.A. President Allen Kepler says, "Paul is a very dynamic and creative person. He gained worldwide notoriety with the smash hit '19' back in the mid-'80s. Then, in 1991 he totally reinvented himself with his debut of 'The Jazzmasters.' Paul is a perfect team mate as we push Smooth Jazz into a new era of success with our Smooth Jazz Network." Considering Hardcastle's background the show could focus on tech/Groove oriented Smooth Jazz. Hardcastle says, "I am very excited to be part of the new team. The idea of playing other peoples music really appeals to me. This is why I was really happy to be invited to become involved in this exciting new project."

Paul Hardcastle Adds Daughter Maxine to the Mix
July 28, 2005 - Maxine Hardcastle, daughter of British Smooth Jazz composer Paul Hardcastle, has co-writing credits on 3 tracks of Hardcastle's latest CD released last week and titled "Hardcastle 4". She helped to write the tracks "Smooth Jazz is Bumpin", "What is Love", and "Where Are You Now". Dad is very proud of his little girl, who turned 19 in April, and has a great set of pipes to go along with her excellent songwriting skills. The younger Hardcastle has never formally recorded, but judging from her efforts for Dad, I'd say that is just around the corner. - by Cheryl Philips
