The Television spot encourages everyone to participate, 'I’m Alicia Keys,' she says in the ad, 'and I’m asking you to get out and vote on November 4th. Your vote is your voice. Be heard.' American Idol’s Jennifer Hudson is also reminding everyone to make sure that you’re registered to vote on Nov. 4.

The overall campaign could give Obama an edge considering a new NBC pole released this morning, the Democratic candidate has a huge lead among new voters. The survey shows Obama would clinch 61% and McCain only 30%. 9% were undecided. Having Keys and Hudson in your camp would appeal to new and young voters.

The official slogan is "Your Voice is Our Future," Keys says "Once upon a time it was said that women should be seen and not heard. Today we can be loud enough to change the world."

Queen Latifah has also been featured on Obama commercials.

She says, “All of a sudden, you think, 'I'm a singer and, yes, I'm a songwriter and, yes, I perform, but what else is in my life? Do I have a family? Am I growing inside? Am I always too busy to see my mother and the people I love?” The 27 year old singer ads, “You have to numb yourself because you are away so long. It can change you and that is not the type of person I want to be. People always want something from you - you become like a ghost of yourself or of the person you could be.”

Keys recently got the honour of recording the theme to the new James Bond film, ‘Quantum of Solice’ with Jack White of the White Stripes. Her new single ‘Superwoman’ will be out on Sept 1st. – by John Beaudin
