Charles
Beaudin is Smooth Jazz Canada's Birthday's Columnist.
Growing up in Miramichi, New Brunswick Charles
listened to bands like Styx, Kansas, Genesis,
Toto and Boston.
Playing sports and being active has always been
a part of his life growing up, from Soccer,
Softball, Track and Field to Table Tennis. Being
the little brother of John
Beaudin and hearing so much about Smooth
Jazz it was hard not to get interested in the
genre, He got hooked! Charles is married to
Linda Beaudin and has three stepchildren Natalie,
Denis and Bradley. He loves to read and go hiking
in the woods, getting closer to nature and music
is what inspires him.
Charles
was born on October 12th, 1964 in Montreal,
Quebec.

would you love to have coffee with?
Well, that's easy.
Mindi Abair.There
is something about a woman and a saxophone,
and she can really play!
What drives you
nuts? People
pretending to be something that their not
or people who blame all their misfortunes
on others.
Do you have a guilty
pleasure? Ice
Cream! There is no special time of the year
for that.
Best concert you've
ever seen? That
would have to be David Bowie, Peter Gabriel
and The Tubes when they played Commonwealth
Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta.
Ever have a crush
on a celebrity? Martie
Seidel of the Dixie Chicks.
Does
smooth Jazz have a future in Canada?
I think as long as
there is airplay and interest there will
be a future. Lets face it, it's a growing
industry.
Favorite people
in the world? My
wife Linda, she is my world also my family.
Favorite album
of all time? One
that stands out is Duke by Genesis
but I have many!
What music would
people be surprised that you listen to?New
Age, for
myself this is the most relaxing music for
me.
